David Birns
Lake Success, NY

By joining AXA-Equitable in 1988, David Birns continues an AXA-Equitable dynasty created by his family that already spans a 50-year period.  Being the fourth generation growing up "in the business" David understands how important clients were to his grandfather, dad and brothers and has adhered to that doctrine as he's built his business over the years.

After spending three years on the corporate side of AXA-Equitable, David decided that building his own business and helping people work toward reaching their financial goals was what he wanted to do with his career.  Specializing in meeting the needs of small business owners, professionals and corporate executives, David works with his clients to understand their short and long-term needs and then brings the right mix of products and services to help them meet those objectives.  David takes pride in the fact that he has developed long-term relationships with his clients that have spanned from one generation to the other.

Active in his community, David and his wife Ronit are very involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where the couple was honored with a leadership award in 2005 for their fundraising efforts.  He is a graduate of George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in Finance.  The recipient of many company awards and accolades, David currently is a branch representative in the National Associates Forum, an organization representing the 6,000 AXA associates across the country.  Additionally, David is a member of The Sterling Group, a select group of financial professionals who are distinguished for achieving a high standard of experience and service.

A true Long Islander, David is a native of Syosset and settled in Plainview with his wife, Ronit and their two children, Jason and Emily.

Favorable Dividend and Capital Gains Tax Rates Extended—for Now

The 2010 Tax Relief Act extended the 15% maximum tax rates on qualified dividends and long-term capital gains through December 31, 2012.
